Music with Ms. Lindsey!
My name is Lindsey Dunham. I am the general music educator for grades K-6 at Monkton and Beeman Elementary Schools. I also teach chorus, band and instrumental music for the upper grades. I have been teaching music since 2010. When I am not making music with my students, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, gardening, hiking, boating, biking, crafting, cooking, beekeeping, and organizing. I grew up in Monkton and still live Monkton, so I feel a strong connection to this district and community. My goal as a music teacher is to give my students the skills/foundation they need in order enjoy music making throughout their lives, whether they become professional musicians, hobbyists, or just feel comfortable singing Happy Birthday with a group of people. The thing I most enjoy about teaching is the pure joy that I see in kids when they are having fun creating music, or accomplish something challenging. My students amaze me every day with what they can do.
