All about me
My dad’s desire to hike the Green Mountains and the Long Trail brought our family to Vermont in the early seventies. Growing up exploring trails and waterways instilled in me a passion for nature that transfers to my art: photography, drawing, pastels, watercolors, and weaving are some of my tried and true favorite art mediums. My undergraduate studies were equally as varied: Art, English, and Geology. I fused most of my interests together with a graduate degree in Education and through work experiences my first teaching job was Technology. The few times my husband and I moved out of Vermont for studies or artists residencies we felt fortunate and grateful to return with work opportunities. Thirty years, two kids, many pets, plants, gardens later I still feel blessed to walk in the mountains, kayak the lakes, and work in such a wonderful school as Beeman. While my husband has retired I am enjoying finishing out my final art teaching days with the truly sweet-natured kids of New Haven.
