All about me
Hello! I’m Emily Verner and I live in beautiful Bristol with my husband, children, cats, and chickens. I am an educational interpreter with over 13 years of experience in Deaf Education. Prior to my move to Vermont I studied Linguistics at the University of Southern Maine and I served deaf and hard of hearing children as an assistant librarian and assistant teacher in preschool-5th grade classrooms at the Governor Baxter School for the Deaf on Mackworth Island in Falmouth, Maine. I later transitioned to work with deaf and multiple disabled children as a classroom interpreter at the Morrison Center in Scarborough, Maine. I obtained my Bachelor’s of Arts degree in American Sign Language to English Interpretation with an emphasis in Educational Interpreting from the University of Northern Colorado. This is my third year at Beeman and I couldn’t be more excited to work with such a wonderful, inspiring, family-like team of professionals.
